U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement responded to recent comments made by Gov. Andy Beshear on “The View.”
“Governor, regardless of your rhetoric, we will continue to ‘remove’ criminal aliens from Kentucky,” the federal agency wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
ICE’s comments follow Beshear’s appearance on ABC’s “The View” on Monday, February 9.
In the interview, Kentucky’s governor said ICE agents should be withdrawn “from every city and every community they are in.”
“This organization must be reformed from the top down,” Beshear said of the agency. “(Department of Homeland Security) Secretary (Christie) Noem needs to be fired and every agent needs to be retrained.”

Beshear also criticized what he called the agency’s aggressive tactics.
“ICE’s aggressive behavior is something you don’t see in any other law enforcement agency,” he said. “The idea that you don’t need a judicial search warrant to break into an American’s home is wrong. The bodies of American citizens are currently being counted as a result of the agency’s actions. That should be enough to say ‘we’re going to take a pause.'”
