An Indiana high school secretary is accused of sexually abusing two students after her husband allegedly caught her in the act.
Union City police arrest 31-year-old man Alicia Hughes Following an investigation into sexual assault allegations, she was accused of sexually assaulting two teenage boys.
At the time of her arrest, Hughes was working for the Randolph Eastern School Corporation in Randolph County, Indiana. US Weekly Confirmed.
Law enforcement began investigating Hughes after receiving reports of an alleged assault at her home.
As police investigated the incident, they learned Hughes’ husband found her in bed with an 18-year-old student who attended the Randolph East School Corporation in Union City and confronted the two.
Hughes was said to have been assaulted by her husband during the ensuing argument. No charges have been filed against her husband, but the investigation into the alleged assault continues.

Police said that during their investigation of the couple, they allegedly discovered evidence that Hughes also sexually assaulted another high school student, who was 17 at the time of the reported abuse.
Investigators determined Hughes sexually assaulted the 17-year-old girl at least five times and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Hughes was arrested and charged with five counts of child grooming related to the sexual abuse of underage students.
She was transported to the Randolph County Jail and is being held on $25,000 cash bail.

“Because this is an active criminal investigation, RESC will not comment further on specific details at this time to protect student privacy and the integrity of the entire process,” Adams said. “We will continue to follow all legal and personnel procedures required by state law and board policy.”

Child grooming is a felony in Indiana and must involve an adult in a position of trust, such as a teacher, coach or law enforcement officer. The victim must also be between 16 and 18 years old.
If convicted of all counts, Hughes could be sentenced to 30 months to 30 years in prison. A judge may consider mitigating or aggravating circumstances when sentencing, such as previous criminal history and the nature of the relationship. In some cases, probation may be given in lieu of jail time.
The conviction also requires her to register as a sex offender.
