RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Shayne Gostisbehere had a goal and two assists to lead the Carolina Hurricanes to a 5-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night for their fifth straight victory.
Jackson Black, Taylor Hall, Sebastian Aho and Eric Robinson also scored for the Hurricanes, who have scored in 12 straight games (10-0-2) to move to the top of the Eastern Conference with 82 points.

Carolina goaltender Frederik Andersen made 27 career saves against the Red Wings, improving to 14-1-2.
Simon Edwinson and Patrick Kane scored and Cam Talbot stopped 31 shots for the Red Wings, who lost for the fifth time in seven games (2-4-1).
The Hurricanes lead 3-0, continuing their recent hot record at home. They lost their first two home games in January but are 10-0 at home since a 5-3 loss to Colorado on Jan. 3.
Gostisbehear scored with 2:18 left in the third period to give the Hurricanes some breathing room after Detroit made it 3-2 late in the second period.
Blake scored a goal at 5:30 of the third quarter with assists from Gostisbecher and Hall, extending the Hurricanes’ lead to 5-2.

Edvinson scored from the left circle to tie the game for Detroit with 1:35 left in the second quarter. 47 seconds later, Kane scored to chase the score to 3-2, entering the third quarter.
In the first quarter, Hall broke through and scored at 14:05, and Gostisbehe assisted Aho for a powerful shot with 8 seconds left in the game, making the score 2-0. Aho, who helped Finland win a bronze medal at the Olympics, has seven points in his past six games. Robinson scored at 2:52 of the second quarter to extend the lead to 3-0.
