Paytm QR codes allow you to transfer money wirelessly by just scanning without having to enter the recipient’s phone number or any other details. However, not many people know that the Paytm app can not only scan QR codes using the camera but also scan QR codes from the iPhone’s photo library. This means that you can scan the Paytm QR code even if you don’t have physical access to it. If you want to send money to someone’s Paytm account but don’t have their phone number handy, this will make things easier.
Today, many stores across India have Paytm QR codes to accept cashless payments. Paytm also allows individuals to share QR codes to receive funds from others. But if you don’t have physical access to Paytm QR codes, you can scan them on your iPhone through your photo library.
How to scan Paytm QR code from iPhone gallery
Before starting the process of scanning a Paytm QR code from your iPhone’s gallery, it’s worth pointing out that you need to grant camera access to the Paytm app. It’s also important to note that you should not use QR codes received through social media sites or messaging apps to send money to strangers, as this may just be a scam.
-
Open the Paytm app on your iPhone.
-
Go to pay options on the home screen.
-
Press the gallery icon to the right of the camera viewfinder (next to the flashlight button).
-
Now, select an image with the desired Paytm QR code from the gallery.
-
Paytm will now show you a pop-up message asking you to confirm the payment. Click OK, got it button to continue.
Once the scan is complete, you will reach the payment screen. Before making a transaction, make sure you have verified the name of the recipient and the account you are sending funds to.
