Xiaomi’s smartphones are known to offer good features within the budget range, but they also tend to come with a ton of pre-installed apps. Some of these may work for you, others may not. Some people continue to track your data despite uninstalling them because they have certain services running in the background. In this guide, we will tell you how to remove bloatware from Xiaomi smartphones without root.
Before we start, we would like to point out that we tried this method on Redmi 9 Power. Xiaomi tends to have different MIUI 12 versions for different smartphones, so you may or may not have the apps we mention in this guide.
Another thing worth mentioning is that deleting certain apps or services using the desktop method may have unwanted consequences on your smartphone. In the best-case scenario, you might end up partially losing some key functionality like calling or texting, and in the worst-case scenario, the device ends up bricked. Therefore, be careful before proceeding with the desktop method. We also have a video on the same topic, so check it out at the embedded link below.
Smartphone method

- To delete them, go to Settings > Apps > Manage Apps
- Now just select the apps you want to remove and click Uninstall All.
Additionally, you can actually try removing ads from your smartphone using the method we discussed previously in another guide.
