Whether you’re a soccer fanatic, a casual fan, or someone who’s never seen a game, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of the FIFA World Cup. If you’re one of the latter and want some excitement, our football pick ’em 101 has you covered.
Before we get into how to play, some background information. A total of 48 teams participated in this World Cup, making it the largest World Cup in history. Teams are divided into 12 groups of 4 teams each. After the group round robin, the top two teams in each group advance to the top 32, and the eight best third-place teams also advance. This expansion means the total number of games will reach 104, 40 more than the last World Cup.
So you can choose with your head (trusting favorite bettors), your heart (relying on your ancestors), or go for random mode by choosing based on your favorite flag or the country you want to visit. Most importantly, this should make your journey to the FIFA World Cup a lot more fun. We’ll also provide plenty of pre-tournament content to help you make more informed choices.
