Facebook-owned WhatsApp has developed some indicators to check if someone has blocked you on the messaging app. However, keep in mind that these indicators do not guarantee that a contact may have blocked you.
How to find out if you have been blocked on Whatsapp
Check last viewed/online status
One of the easiest ways to check is to look for their last viewed or online status in the chat window. However, you may also not see the last thing they saw because they may have disabled it from their settings.
Check profile photo
If someone blocks you on WhatsApp, you may not be able to view their profile photo. However, if you are able to view the person’s profile picture and you have been blocked, you may not be able to see their updated profile picture.
Send message to contact
If you send a message to a contact who has blocked you, you will only see a single checkmark on the message instead of a double checkmark or a blue double checkmark (also known as a read receipt).
Call contact
Any attempts to call this contact may not go through. You will see a call message only when you make a call. However, this can also happen if the call recipient does not have an internet connection.
Create a group on WhatsApp
If you try to create a group with a contact that you suspect may have blocked you, completing the process of creating the group will result in only you being in the group.
