Browsing the web on your phone or computer can become a worrying experience if the website you visit throws a lot of pop-ups at you. This is especially bad on mobile devices, where it’s hard to ignore. However, this is gradually becoming less of an issue as most browsers now allow you to block pop-ups entirely. Firefox is the second most popular desktop browser in India and you can block pop-ups using Firefox by following the steps below. How to block pop-ups in Firefox (Windows/macOS/Linux)
If you want to block pop-ups on the desktop version of Firefox, follow these steps:
- Open Firefox.
- Click the hamburger menu button in the upper right corner and select Options.
- choose content on the left.
- Tick Block pop-ups Block pop-ups, or uncheck to allow them.
How to block pop-ups in Firefox (Android)
If you want to block pop-ups on Firefox for Android, follow these steps:
- Open Firefox.
- type About:Configuration in the address bar.
- search dom.disable_open_during_load.
- set it to Wrong allow pop-ups, and real Block pop-ups.
How to block pop-ups in Firefox (iPhone/iPad)
If you want to change the pop-up blocker settings on Firefox for iOS, follow these steps:
- Open Firefox.
- Click the hamburger menu button at the bottom.
- Swipe left and select set up.
- turn on switch Block pop-ups Block pop-ups, or close them to allow pop-ups.
