Hibs buy wing-back Passlack and forward Suto

Hibernian have purchased striker Ante Suto from Slaven Bellupo and full-back Felix Paslack from Bochum for undisclosed fees.

German player Paslec, 27, has been signed until the summer of 2029, while Australian Croat Suto, 25, has agreed a two-and-a-half-year contract, subject to a work permit, with an option to extend for a further year.

Hibs are particularly keen to bolster their forward options after selling Scotland striker Kieron Bowie to Hellas Verona last week.

Head coach David Gray told his club website: “Ante is another strong addition to our forward line and he gives us a very direct threat in front of goal.

“He is a strong player with great physical qualities and he is an excellent option because he can play out wide and centrally.”

Suto was born in Imotski and came from the Hejduk youth training camp in Split. He joined Slaven from the Croatian second-tier team Zmiafci in January 2024 and renewed his contract until 2028 in September.

This season, he played 18 league games for the team ranked sixth among the 10 teams in the Croatian Football League, scoring 4 goals and 6 assists.

Paschlack, meanwhile, has made 67 appearances for Bochum since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2023.

However, only four of his 19 games this season have been starts for a team that finished eighth in Germany’s second division after being relegated last season.

His previous clubs include Hoffenheim, Norwich City and Fortuna Sittard, all on loan from Borussia Dortmund, and Gray is delighted to be joining someone with such “ability and experience”.
