YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – A helicopter will be flying over parts of central Pennsylvania this week.
The York County Office of Emergency Management announced that a helicopter will be flying over the area this week, including Tuesday. The helicopter, a FirstEnergy aircraft, began flying over the area on Monday and will continue operating until March 14.

The Office of Emergency Management said helicopters will inspect steel towers and wooden pole transmission lines located along utility power line corridors.
These corridors can be found in waterways, forestry and tree farms, the Office of Emergency Management reports.
The aircraft is blue with white stripes and “UTILITY” in red letters on the side.
