Greaves first woman to hit nine-darter on PDC ProTour

Beau Greaves “can’t believe it” as she made history by becoming the first woman to complete a nine-dart match on the PDC ProTour.

The 22-year-old produced a perfect leg against Mensur Suljovic in the sixth match of the Players Championship in Leicester.

After 180 consecutive seconds, Greaves scored 141 points with a treble 20, a treble 19 and a double 12.

“I couldn’t believe I hit it,” she said. “I almost hit one a few times, so it’s nice to finally hit one. It’s nice to be the first woman to hit one on the PDC ProTour.”

She won the final leg decider 6-5 but was defeated 6-3 in the round of 16 by David Sharp, who had previously knocked out former world champion Peter Wright.

Doncaster’s Greaves has dominated the women’s series in recent years and beat Luke Littler in the World Junior Darts Championship final, but was neck-and-neck with Daryl Gurney in the first round of the PDC World Darts Championship in December.
