The Georgia Bulldogs have already had two players declare their intention to enter the NCAA transfer portal when the transfer window opens on January 2. Georgia is still preparing for the College Football Playoff and is focused on playing in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1. However, once Georgia is eliminated from the playoffs or competing in the national championship, then we expect a lot of Georgia players to announce plans to transfer.
With no spring transfer portal window, we expect a record number of college football players to transfer this winter. Last offseason (2024-2025), 20 Georgia players transferred out. In the 2023-2024 offseason, Georgia has 24 players transfer out. We expect a similar number of Bulldogs to leave the franchise again this offseason.

The portal is opening later this offseason than it was last offseason (January vs. December), so we expect most Georgia players to hold off on publicly announcing their transfer intentions until after the Sugar Bowl.
Defensive back Daniel Harris
Ja’Darian Price #24 of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish holds the ball against Daniel Harris #7 of the Georgia Bulldogs
Cornerback Daniel Harris, a former four-star recruit, announced plans to leave Georgia before the SEC Championship Game. Harris began the season as Georgia’s starting cornerback opposite All-SEC pick Daylen Everette. Harris’ starting spot has been replaced by De’Mello Jones and Ellis Robinson throughout the season, and with both Jones and Robinson expected to return next season, it would make sense for Harris to seek a transfer.

Spurling retired due to illness in March 2024. He has been cleared to return to football activities, but unfortunately, since retiring due to illness, he has not been able to return to the University of Georgia. Spurling underwent heart surgery in August. He showed a lot of promise during his time at Georgia and was a former four-star recruit with a stellar six points.
