BBC Sport asked Swansea City fans their thoughts on potential player recruitment during the January transfer window.

Here are some responses:

jove – We really need an “executor”. As a team, we lacked “grit” and had too many weaknesses in one-on-one combat on an individual level, which created the same weaknesses on a team level. I would like to see a strong-willed, well-spoken player who can create that fighting spirit that we are lacking as a team.

mark – The first target has to be right back, Josh Key is injured and his confidence is shattered, [Ethan] Galbraith did a great job there, but he needs to be in the middle of the park. Second place for me would be RW as Ronald needs to compete there as I feel he is not showing at the moment and finally third place for me would be a speedy center back.

Richard – Priority is given to right-back. Unfortunately the key wasn’t good enough and our star player Galbraith had to play in midfield. We need another striker to support us [Zan] Vipotnik and a right winger who can pass the ball, and Ronald is pathetic in that regard.

Simon – It was evident during the Millwall game [Lawrence] Viguru needs stronger defense in front of him.

Brian -We do need a striker, we have a lot of chances to score more than a goal a game and we have played some good football since Matos took over, but we just haven’t finished the game. More goals are needed.

Gareth – I don’t think we need another center forward, even though [Adam] Ada rested for some time. What we need is regular passes into the box. Wypotnik will do the rest. Tymon is a great crosser but we need both wingers to step up their game and have a better end product and chase passes instead of glory – too many opportunities were wasted due to poor thinking.

Carl – At least right back and winger.

paul – Desperate need for a second forward who is also a right back to free up Galbraith and allow him to play in his most effective position.
