Four-star Georgia WR decommit reconsiders signing with Michigan

The Georgia Bulldogs retiree is reconsidering the letter of intent he signed. Brady Marchese, a four-star wide receiver in the 2026 class who committed to the Michigan Wolverines from Georgia, requested a release from his letter of intent.

Some of that may have to do with Michigan’s newly hired head coach. After current head coach Sherron Moore was fired after a major off-field controversy, the Wolverines hired former Utah State head coach Kyle Whittingham and signed him to a five-year contract to become Michigan’s new head coach.

Still, it’s another strange turn in Marchese’s recruiting journey. He first committed to Georgia back in March 2025, and even after an early push from Michigan, he stayed true to his commitment to the Bulldogs and halted his recruitment.

However, Marchese switched his commitment from Georgia to Michigan as the early signing period opened on Dec. 4, 2025. He signed a contract with the Wolverines, but Marchese was released from the contract 22 days later.

The 6-foot-1, 183-pound wide receiver plays high school football for Cartersville High School alongside Wake Forest three-star signee Langston Hogg, who runs the offensive line. He also plays with Cole Crawford, a 2027 four-star linebacker whom Georgia has been targeting. Marchese is the No. 20 receiver and No. 134 prospect in the 2026 class.
