Former Titans coach Brian Callahan interviews for Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator position

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have completed interviews with former Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan as offensive coordinator. Callahan was the offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals under Zac Taylor before the Titans hired him. Amy Adams Strunk was probably really happy that he got the job to offset the money she owed him.

Look, I believe Callahan is a good football coach. The head coaching job was too big for him. He seems like a really nice guy. It seems unlikely that he’ll be a head coach again, but whether he can land somewhere and lead a successful offense, you never know.

There’s no doubt he’ll have more talent to work with in Tampa Bay than he did with the Titans. Baker Mayfield has been really good the past few years and they have one of the best receiving rooms in the league.

Callahan finished his tenure as Titans head coach with a 4-19 record.
