Former SportsCenter Host Tells Anti-ICE Musicians to ‘Shut Up’ Because ‘You Don’t Know What You’re Talking About’

Several musicians spoke out against ICE at Sunday night’s Grammy Awards. Bad Bunny, who will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show, said while accepting Urbana’s award for best musical album: “Before I say thank you to God, I have to say: ICE get out of here!”

“Don’t make political statements,” Ingraham said at the time. “Shut up and dribble.”

“I would liken it to something the great Laura Ingraham said a few years ago,” Steele said. “‘Shut up and dribble.’ It’s not because we don’t want to hear athletes’ side of things. Maybe here or there, but it’s because we’ve learned that they don’t tend to be fact-based. They’re basing it on TikTok news or left-wing media narratives, not facts. If you go with the facts and give me your opinion from there, that’s fine. That’s exactly what the Hollywood elite have chosen not to do, and the performance from all of us on stage yesterday was incredible, but not surprising.”

Steele later added, “That’s why, shut up and dribble, shut up and sing, because you’re extremely talented, but you don’t know what you’re talking about.”

A Fox News poll released last week showed that 59% of American voters believe ICE’s tactics are “too aggressive.” Meanwhile, a majority of Americans (46%) want to abolish the agency, according to a YouGov survey last month.
