They also announced that Kliff Kingsbury will serve as McVay’s assistant head coach. It was previously reported that Kingsbury would join McVay’s staff, but his role was unclear.

Kingsbury, a former head coach at Texas Tech and the Arizona Cardinals, spent the past two seasons as the Washington Commanders’ offensive coordinator. The Commander parted ways with Kingsbury this offseason, and he will now serve as McVay’s top assistant.

Former Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson, who served as Kingsbury’s passing game coordinator, will also join the team as a senior offensive assistant.
