Former Jacksonville Jaguars center Luke Fortner has found a new home for the 2026 season.
Luke Fortner will sign a one-year contract with the Carolina Panthers, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

The Jaguars traded Fortner to the New Orleans Saints during training camp last summer. In return, the Jaguars received defensive tackle Khalen Saunders, who was ultimately released late in the season.
Fortner will make 10 starts under center for the Saints in 2025. He allowed just 11 pressures in 442 pass-blocking snaps, according to PFF.
With the addition of Robert Hainsey last offseason and the improvement of rookie Jonah Monheim throughout training camp, the Jaguars feel comfortable with the state of the center position, allowing them to move on from Fortner.
The Saints also need to bolster their offensive line depth, especially at center.
