Former GOP Lawmaker Hits Lindsey Graham With Unbelievably Foul Dig Over Iran War Post

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) took to social media to lament the “arrogance” of U.S. allies in the ongoing war with Iran, but was met with an expletive-laden response from former Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger (Ill.).

Graham, who has taken a hawkish stance and lobbied Trump to keep up military pressure, complained on Tuesday morning that “our European allies are unwilling to provide assets to keep the Strait of Hormuz open.”

“Oh, eat a bag of ripe anus,” Kinzinger replied, adding that President Donald Trump “said we don’t need anybody” “in the first two weeks of the war.”

NATO allies have been hesitant to help resolve the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran effectively blocked key sea lanes in response to last month’s U.S. and Israeli military strikes.

Graham said in the post that he had spoken to Trump about the incident but had never heard him “so angry in his life.”

“Our allies’ arrogant suggestion that Iran has a nuclear weapon is nothing to worry about, and that military action to prevent the Ayatollah from obtaining a nuclear bomb is our problem, not theirs,” Graham wrote.

The South Carolina senator warned that “providing little assistance to keep the Strait of Hormuz open would have broad and profound consequences for Europe and the United States.”

Graham has been almost vociferous in his support for Iran’s military action.

Earlier this month, he boasted that when the conflict ended, “we will eliminate their nuclear program and there will be a new dawn in the Middle East,” and claimed that the estimated $1 billion a day spent on the war was “the best money ever spent.”

His support for the war has drawn criticism from some conservatives, including Megyn Kelly and Meghan McCain.

“The problem with Lindsey Graham is not just that he’s a murderer, but that Trump likes and is listening to him, and Trump’s favorite channel parades him around like a Hefner bunny in stockings on every show,” Kelly said last week.

McCain, meanwhile, recently said on

“He is scaring people and damaging any message you are trying to sell to the American public about the war with Iran,” she wrote.
