A Florida woman was arrested for damaging two properties she rented through Airbnb by urinating on objects and then posting videos online.
Nicolette Keough, 31, was arrested following a Pensacola Police Department investigation into criminal mischief filed March 15.
According to police, Nicolette was staying at an Airbnb rental when she urinated on some items, damaging the property. The owner then discovered a video posted online by an adult website showing a woman urinating on the Airbnb rental. The woman in the video was identified as Nicolette.
Owners also reported a strong smell of urine inside the rental property.
Police also suspect Nicolette may have damaged another rental property on the same street owned by the same owner.
According to court documents, the damaged property included an antique Crown Royal chair, a rug, a typewriter, four dining chairs, a coffee machine, a bed, a television, a record player, a toaster and an electric fireplace.
Pensacola Police Department spokesman Mike Wood said Nicolette was arrested for criminal mischief, a felony. The amount of damage exceeded $3,000.
Nicolette was arrested and released on bail.
Mike Wood said Nicolette peed on the items and then posted the videos online to make money.
An Airbnb spokesperson said Nicolette has been removed from the site and the company is helping owners through a damage protection program.
“This type of behavior has no place on Airbnb. Incidents of property damage occurring while staying on Airbnb are rare and our hosts are backed by our 24/7 global community support and AirCover, which is included with every booking.”
Nicolette was arrested and charged with criminal mischief.
