Florida State extends offer to RB target in Louisiana

The FSU Seminoles need a commitment in the 2028 class. They’ve been busy extending offers during the cycle, with running back Cayden Berard being the latest, announcing the news via social media.

“#AGTG🙏🏾 I’m so lucky and honored to receive an offer from @FSUFootball‼️

Thank you Coach @TeamKamMartin and @Coach2Bless,” Berard wrote.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pounder is coming off a stellar sophomore season at Lafayette Christian College in Louisiana. He averaged 6.4 yards per carry, gained 1,532 yards and scored 21 touchdowns. His eight 100-yard performances earned him four MaxPreps Player of the Year honors on the year.

As far as visits go, Ballard has not been to Tallahassee so far, but that will change with the offer now being made. A safe bet is sometime later in the spring or summer.

Florida State is currently competing with Ohio State, LSU, Houston, TCU, Illinois and others for Berard’s commitment. He is currently an unranked rookie.
