The Florida State basketball team continued its climb toward the Big Dance this week with an 86-67 road win over the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday night.
The Gators’ three-game winning streak now puts them atop the SEC in both the conference standings and national standings. The AP Top 25 moves the Orange and Blue up three spots to No. 14 this week, placing Todd Golden’s team between the No. 13 Purdue Boilermakers and the No. 15 Virginia Cavaliers.

The AP rankings are consistent with the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, which also ranked Florida No. 14.
SEC schools among AP top 25 after Week 14
The Southeastern Conference had four schools in the top 25 this week, with the Kentucky Wildcats moving back to No. 25, replacing the slumping Tennessee Volunteers, who received 26 votes.
Florida became the highest-ranked SEC team at No. 14, surpassing the Vanderbilt Commodores, who dropped four spots to No. 19; the Arkansas Razorbacks followed in double digits at No. 21. The Alabama Crimson Tide hold the de facto No. 26 spot with 72 votes, while the Georgia Bulldogs (6) and Auburn Tigers (2) also received mentions.
