Florida AG moving toward civil enforcement against City of Jacksonville over list of gun owners

Florida Attorney General James Usmeier announced Monday morning that he plans to pursue civil enforcement actions against the city of Jacksonville.

This relates to a list of gun owners who entered city buildings with guns over a two-year period.

Usmeier also shared a copy of his letter to State Attorney Melissa Nelson, which stated in part, “The fact remains that the city maintained a firearms registry of privately owned firearms for two years and your office’s analysis of the relevant regulations does not stand up to scrutiny.”
