The France forward worked under Pochettino during his time at PSG and the pair have developed a strong professional relationship.
Mbappe was one of the best performers during Mauricio Pochettino’s tenure at Paris Saint-Germain.
The forward took on a leadership role in the team and produced the best performances of his career during this period.

Because of this, Real Madrid believes that Pochettino’s appointment can help Mbappe perform at a higher level if the two reunite in Spain.
For now, however, the club’s leadership is still exploring options, as Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is known for carefully evaluating multiple opinions before making big decisions about the club’s direction.

Additionally, Pochettino was asked about his relationship with Perez and he confirmed that his relationship with the Real Madrid president remains positive.
“I have very good relations with almost all clubs, not just Madrid,” he added.
