Fetterman reacts to U.S. attack on Iran

(WHTM) – U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) reacted to U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran Saturday morning.

The attack, which appears to have targeted Iran’s 86-year-old supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s home in central Tehran, comes as US President Donald Trump claims Iran continues to develop its nuclear program and plans to develop missiles to reach the United States

“President Trump has been willing to take the right and necessary actions to achieve true peace in the region,” Fetterman said on social media. “God bless America, our great military, and Israel.”

The attacks quickly expanded beyond Iran. Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard said it responded by launching a “first wave” of drones and missiles targeting Israel and issued a nationwide warning, with the military saying it would put out Iranian firepower.

Trump also acknowledged the possibility of American casualties, saying “that happens all the time in wars.”

Syrian state television said an Iranian missile hit a building in the southern city of Swayda, killing four people. The broadcaster said the missile hit an industrial area of the city but gave no other details.
