It’s always fun to watch the common thread players on fantasy championship teams. Here are the 10 most common players on a 2025 Yahoo Fantasy Public League championship team (kickers and defensemen are excluded).
1. Bijan Robinson accounts for 27.35% of the championship roster
Robinson saved his best game of the year (37.4 points) in the Fantasy Finals, and he is the leading scorer among non-quarterbacks in the fantasy playoffs. He was a month away from his 24th birthday; the plane had just taken off.

2. Christian McCaffrey (25.67%)
He’s been the RB4 in the fantasy playoffs and RB1 all season, and is a consistent part of San Francisco’s offense that no one can stop right now.
3. Punacua (24.01%)
Last week, he fell down the WR18 rankings after being ranked WR1, WR4 and WR1. Nakua might get you to the finals and then hope one of your teammates picks up the baton.
4. Harold Fanning Jr. (23.35%)
Fanning has been a standout performer for the Browns all season despite having little help around him. He scored a touchdown in four of the final five games and became the TE5 in the fantasy playoffs.
5. Michael Wilson (23.07%)
The Cardinals haven’t quite released Marvin Harrison yet, but Wilson has become a surprising star over the past two months. Over the past four weeks, he has been Fantasy’s WR4, averaging 14.5 catches per game and scoring five times.

6. Chase Brown (22.99%)
His season solidified when Joe Flacco came to town, and then the Browns left in Joe Burrow’s final stretch of the year. Brown saved the best for last, with RB2 and RB3 completing the final two weeks of play.
7. Chris Olave (22.73%)
Olave finally has it all in his fourth season – good health, decent coaching, quality quarterback play (finally) and a delightfully narrow target tree. Olave has been fantasy’s WR4 since Tyler Shough took over at quarterback.
8. Derrick Henry (22.71%)
He rushed for over 100 yards in all three postseason games and canceled out zero points in the passing game. And Henry’s 36-216-4 masterpiece in Week 17 in Green Bay was perfect for the scene.

9. Brock Purdy (20.47%)
The 49ers have transformed into a 2025 Fiesta team with an unstoppable offense and a porous defense on the other side. Purdy has thrown for 13 touchdowns in the past three weeks, while the Niners have only kicked two touchdowns in all of December.
10. Trevor Lawrence (20.21%)
A friend of mine is buying Trevor Lawrence socks because TLaw helped him win a championship. This is a verified purchase. Lawrence has had at least one rushing touchdown in each of the past three weeks, and he has been fantasy’s QB2 for the past three months. Give it to them.
