The family’s trailer was pushed to the side, nearly crushing a shed on the property, but the ladder the family used to get into the trailer held up as if nothing happened. The family, whose injuries ranged from bruises to leg injuries requiring crutches, were treated at a nearby hospital.
Ms. Herrington explained to KTAL News reporter Melody Newsome that the tornado scattered the family and left blood stains inside the trailer.
Marion County issued an emergency declaration following tornado damage due to widespread damage in the area.
