Florida State has officially signed former Duke Blue Devils safety Markie Jones, the team announced Friday.
Jones finished the 2025 season with 35 tackles (1.5 for loss), a sack, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a pass breakup in 14 games for the Blue Devils. His performance was noteworthy for a true freshman on a talented Duke team that won the ACC championship.
Jones will have four years and three games to play for Florida State, and he should break into the safety rotation immediately. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound guard was rated a three-star with a 247 overall grade and committed to Duke early. He is from Alpharetta, Georgia.
