CLEVELAND (WJW) — A downtown Cleveland hotel will close this month.
The DoubleTree Hotel Cleveland will permanently close on January 30, 2026, according to a filing with the state of Ohio.

“Due to business reasons beyond the Company’s control, the Company will permanently close the hotel and lay off all employees, and the Company does not have the ability to take remedial actions to mitigate or avoid the closure.”

The layoffs will begin on January 28, 2026, the notice said.

The move will permanently eliminate 66 jobs.
According to the notice, the hotel is owned by Crescent Hotels & Resorts.
