Football fans hoping to catch Diego Pavia ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft will be watching this year’s scouting combine with bated breath.

The Vanderbilt star is one of 15 quarterbacks scheduled to take the field during the four-day practice. Few passers have embraced the spectacle as much as Pavia, who hopes to separate himself from his peers and become a legitimate option for NFL teams.
Pavia, 24, was one of college football’s top talents in his final two seasons with the Commodores, throwing for more than 5,800 yards and 67 total touchdowns. His performance in 2025 earned him the SN College Football Player of the Year award, putting him in elite company.
Still, it’s unlikely he’ll hear his name called early on draft day. Pavia was a fringe Day 3 pick who was ruled out due to physical limitations. He’s looking to secure his draft stock with a sparkling performance throughout the combine at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Diego Pavia combine schedule

Pavia was one of two Vanderbilt players invited to the NFL Combine along with tight end Eli Stowers. He will be part of a 15-player group headed by presumptive No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza.
Pavia and his fellow quarterbacks will undergo team interviews and physicals before trotting to Lucas Oil Stadium for an on-field practice Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, Pavia and his teammates will bench press before leaving Indianapolis.
