The Detroit Lions are back to good signal form after Kyle Allen signed with the Buffalo Bills.
The Lions are signing former Detroit backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Bridgewater serves as the Motor City’s backup quarterback to Jared Goff during the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

A 6-foot-2, 210-pound quarterback, Bridgewater has played in just one regular-season game in two seasons with Detroit and three games against Carolina in Week 5 of the 2023 season.
In his 11-season NFL career, Bridgewater played in 83 games, starting 65, passing for 15,182 yards, 75 touchdowns and 47 interceptions. Bridgewater spent last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he played just four games ahead of Buccaneers starter Baker Mayfield.
