Darby Allin made a triumphant return to the ring after missing the Continental Classic due to injury, defeating NJPW’s Gabe Kidd at World’s End on Saturday. The two fought bloody battles, but in the end Allin won with a roll. The match was scheduled for AEW’s holiday show, with Kidd coming back to beat Allin once Allin was cleared.
After Kidd came on for the second time, Allin started the game with a powerful kick. Soon after, the two began fighting outside the ring, bouncing each other off the ring barricade. Kidd eventually sent Allin and himself past and into the timekeeper’s zone. Kidd then turned the ring steps to their side and catapulted Allin face down onto the steps, slicing him open.

Kidd also began to bleed midway through the game, and Allin bit his head, further injuring him. When the two returned to the ring, Allin hit an avalanche code red, followed by a casket drop, but Kidd rolled out of the ring. Allin hit Kidd from the outside again from above. He followed up with a Scorpion Deathdrop and locked him in a Scorpion Deathlock.
The NJPW star escaped the hold and hit Allin with a piledriver, and Allin kicked out. Allin goes after the Boston Crab and Kidd escapes, but Allin rolls him up for the win.
