After four years of hockey at Michigan State University, Daniel Russell is about to enter the professional ranks. Russell signed the first professional contract of his career, inking an ATO agreement with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.
The ATO amateur contract is a short-term agreement that allows amateur players to play for a professional team without losing amateur status.
