Cunningham, Harris help NBA-leading Pistons beat Magic for 6th straight road victory

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Cade Cunningham had 29 points and 11 assists, Tobias Harris scored 23 points and the NBA-leading Detroit Pistons beat the Orlando Magic 106-92 on Sunday night for their sixth straight road win.

The Pistons improved their record to 45-14, winning their eighth win in nine games. They have won 10 of 11 games on the road and have a 21-7 record on the road.

Jalen Duren added 16 points and 10 rebounds for Detroit.

Paolo Banchero led Orlando with 24 points and 11 rebounds, but also committed nine turnovers. Tristan Da Silva scored 19 points and Desmond Bane added 17, but the Magic shot 30.7 percent in the second half and suffered a third-quarter collapse for the second time in three nights. They lost a 19-point lead to Houston in less than four minutes on Friday night.

The Pistons trailed 57-50 at halftime after missing their first 15 three-point attempts. Harris’ three-pointer in the middle of the third quarter helped the team take the lead for the first time and launched an 11-0 surge.

Detroit forward Isaiah Stewart was suspended for seven games on February 9, his final game, for an altercation with Charlotte. Magic guard Anthony Blake missed his first game of the season with a strained right quadriceps.
