Conor McGregor saluts ‘hero’ Andrei Arlovski for beating cancer and capturing BKFC title

Andrei Arlovski is a true boxer and deserves all the praise he gets after his success in bare-knuckle boxing.

It seems the entire combat sports world is behind Arlovski’s Oscar-worthy life story, and his recent BKFC championship win adds a new chapter to that story. At his age, most fighters are retired, out of shape and enjoying life away from competition, but not “The Bulldog.”

Not only did the Belarusian recently celebrate his 47th birthday by claiming BKFC gold, toppling the promotion’s unbeaten man, but he also did so after beating cancer three times. Being a warrior is not for everyone. Becoming an elite, top fighter in the UFC is a feat that few can achieve. But to do all of that on three separate occasions and still beat cancer is unheard of.

Andrei Arlovski has been an admirable fighter throughout his nearly three decades in combat sports. Conor McGregor has won praise from fans who are excited to see the former UFC champion succeed.

“Andrei Arlovski, three-time cancer survivor, now bare-knuckle world champion!” McGregor wrote on social media after Arlovski defeated Ben Rothwell. “Heroic is an understatement!”

After his victory over Roswell, Arlovski sent a powerful message to the world.
