Sony has detailed the post-launch roadmap for its online hero shooter Concord. The game recently went into open beta and is expected to launch on PS5 and PC later this month. Developer Firewalk Studios has confirmed that the Concord, priced at $40 (Rs 2,499 in India), will not come with the Battlepass system. Now, the studio has revealed that the game’s first major post-launch content update will be released in October, featuring new Freelancers, new maps, cosmetics, and more.
In a PlayStation blog post, Firewalk game director Ryan Ellis laid out the studio’s plans to support the game post-launch, promising seasonal updates, new ways to play, unique rewards, new characters, maps, modes, stories, and more.

Concord Season 1: Tempest is confirmed to launch in October, bringing a new playable Freegunner, new maps, additional Freegunner variants, cosmetics, rewards, and more.
Season 1 will also add an in-game store for Freelancers to purchase customization items. According to the studio, these optional items are for cosmetic purposes only and do not affect gameplay.
Additionally, Firewalk confirmed a second season will launch in January 2025, and will continue to add seasonal updates throughout the game’s first year. An image detailing the post-launch roadmap revealed that Season 3 will launch in April 2025.

Firewalk also detailed Concord’s Crew Builder system, which allows players to create their own custom teams of Freegunners for online competition. Each custom crew has 12 configurable slots, and there are a growing number of Freelancers and their variants to choose from. Each variant comes with a different base ability modifier, and more variants can be unlocked by completing in-game challenges.
Crew building is essentially like deck building, with players selecting certain characters or doubling or tripling them to focus on specific abilities. According to Firewalk, each custom crew also comes with four backup slots that will be randomly filled with Freelancers that don’t exist in the player’s custom crew.
Firewalk also detailed the specific release time of Concord in different regions in the blog post. The game will launch in early access on August 20 for those who pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition. Concord will be released for all players on PC and PS5 on August 23rd. PS5 players who purchased any version of the game can now preload the game on their console.
