PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia 76ers made some moves to bolster their roster, moving Dominick Barlow and Jabari Walker from two-way deals to standard deals. These moves provide an opportunity for the front office to add two two-way slots.
The 76ers added two new guards, with Tyrese Martin and Darren Terry signing to join Majon Beauchamp as three players on a two-way deal from Philadelphia.

Martin spent his first two seasons with the Brooklyn Nets and now hopes to find his niche with the Sixers under coach Nick Nurse.
“Obviously, I haven’t met any of him,” Nurse said of Martin. “We do feel like he’s a good combo guard. We’ll probably push him more at the one because we have a lot of combo guards. I want to see him — I think he’s got a good IQ and a good mind. He’s got good size. A really good feel for the game.”
Before being waived by the Nets, Martin played 37 games with the Nets, averaging 7.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game, while shooting 33.6% from three-point range. He is a physical, athletic defender and one has to wonder what his health will be like going forward.
“Just trying to see how this all fits in for us,” Nurse added of Martin. “I think it’s an interesting thing. I don’t know when we’re going to see that. We’ve got a lot of games to go, but we’ll get him on the field as soon as possible, get him on the practice field and all that.”

Then there’s Terry. The former 18th overall pick in the 2022 draft hasn’t quite found his feet in four seasons with the Chicago Bulls, averaging just 3.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in 204 games, but Nurse praised his performance.
“Just a big guard or wing,” Nurse said of Terry. “He’s got some pop and athleticism. Where to hang his hat on the defensive end. Let’s see where that shows up, and then I think we’ll have to figure out where his offense fits in this league and what he can do there and see if our player development staff can work on him and help him develop that part of his game, but he has the reputation. Very good defensively, long, athletic, and I think we’re going to continue to upgrade in those ways, I think, with some youth, athleticism and versatility.”
