CNN to Use Kalshi Prediction Markets Across Its News Coverage

As interest in market-based predictions grows within the US media, CNN has appointed prediction market operator Kalshi as its official data partner, giving the network access to real-time probabilities for political, cultural and economic events.

The partnership, announced Tuesday (US time), will bring Kalshi’s data into CNN programming and newsroom workflows. The network plans to incorporate Kalshey’s predictions into live analytics and introduce live tickers, showing the latest market-implied odds in sections that use this data.

The CNN integration will be led by Harry Enten, the network’s chief data analyst, who specializes in polling and probability-based reporting. According to Kalsi, Enton will incorporate market odds into his coverage as additional data points to assess the likelihood of political or cultural developments.

The agreement also gives CNN’s editorial, data and production teams access to Kalshi’s live feed, which the network says will support graphics generation, provide context for coverage and facilitate the development of storylines around the changing expectations of U.S. politics and other major news cycles.

Kalshi recently completed a $1 billion financing round with an accurate market valuation of $11 billion.
