Clemson basketball ACC Tournament scenarios, tiebreaker rules for Georgia Tech game

CLEMSON — The Clemson basketball team will not get a double bye in the ACC Tournament.

The Tigers (21-9, 11-6 ACC) missed out on one of those four coveted spots after losing to No. 18 North Carolina on March 3 and beating No. 23 Miami on March 4. That leaves the Tar Heels and Hurricanes both locked up for the remaining double byes, joining No. 1 Duke and No. 13 Virginia.

However, Clemson received a bye in the conference tournament and would become the No. 5 seed if the Tigers beat Georgia Tech (11-19, 2-15) on March 7 (noon ET, ACC Network) at Littlejohn Arena.

The conference tournament will be held March 10-14 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Here’s a look at Clemson’s ACC Championship Game scene. The Tigers could finish anywhere between fifth and seventh.
