Clayton Kershaw may not have had a “normal offseason” compared to the last 18 years of his life, but he appears to be returning to baseball soon — this time, as a studio analyst for NBC Sports.
Multiple reports have suggested that Kershaw may be available for a national studio gig in 2026, Front Office Athletic Department Ryan Glasspiegel reported Wednesday that NBC and Clayton Kershaw are close to a deal to give the future Hall of Fame pitcher a role in the network’s MLB studio coverage.

Kershaw, who retired after the Los Angeles Dodgers won the 2025 World Series, is a future Hall of Famer and considered one of the best pitchers of his generation. During his 18-year career, he won one MVP award, three Cy Young Awards and 11 All-Star Game opportunities, all of which he retired in Los Angeles.
Kershaw has often spoken about his desire to spend more time with his family in his first year away from baseball. He and his wife, Ellen, welcomed their fifth child in December.
