WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The city of Wichita and Genesis Health Clubs plan to settle a lawsuit over the Wichita Ice Center.
This involves a lawsuit filed by the city of Wichita in 2022, alleging that the company failed to repay bonds to the city that were used to improve facilities.
City Council documents show that if the settlement goes forward, Wichita would receive $200,000, less than half of the more than $400,000 it originally requested.
Genesis did not admit liability through the settlement, the filing states. The matter was brought before the City Council on Tuesday, January 6.
