Chiefs-Titans Inactives: Running back Dameon Pierce will not play

The Kansas City Chiefs have announced the list of inactive players for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans.

The Chiefs will lose cornerback Trent McDuffie, tackle Jaylen Moore, defensive tackle Derek Nardy and wide receivers Rashe Rice and Ta’Quan Thornton. Joining them healthy are linebacker CJ Hanson and former Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce, who was signed from the practice squad to the 53-man roster on Saturday.

The roster also includes cornerback Nazie Johnson and rookie tight end Jake Brinstall, who remain on the team’s reserve/injured list but practiced this week after being designated to return. Linebacker Leo Chenal and tackle Jawaan Taylor were not listed as inactive after being placed on the reserve/injured list in a series of roster moves Saturday.

Also on Saturday, Kansas City promoted practice squad linebacker Cole Christiansen to the active roster and added Matt Valecko to the active roster. As upgraded players, they will automatically return to the team’s training squad after the game. Both are actively participating in the competition.

The Titans also released their inactive list.

Titans will lose linebacker Cedric Gray, has been ruled go out on Friday.

Safety Eric Hallett II, linebacker Drew Moss, defensive tackle Cam Horsley, linebacker Garrett Deringer and tackle Brandon Crenshaw-Dixon will also be out. Horsley was signed from the practice squad to Tennessee’s active roster on Saturday.

The Titans promoted cornerback Kemon Hall from the practice squad for this game. He will dress for the game.
