Chazz Surratt returns to the Seattle Seahawks in free agency.
According to ESPN’s Brady Henderson, Surratt will sign a one-year contract to remain with the Seahawks through 2026.
Surratt won the 2026 Super Bowl with the Seahawks. The North Carolina native played in 11 games for Seattle last season. In 2025, he played 181 of 188 snaps on special teams. Surratt totaled 11 tackles on the year with Seattle.

The 29-year-old linebacker was selected by the Minnesota Vikings with the 78th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Surratt played one season for the Vikings in 2021. He then played for the New York Jets from 2022-24. Surratt signed with the San Francisco 49ers on May 28, 2025. He was released on August 26, 2025, and subsequently signed a one-year, $1.15 million contract with the Seahawks on August 28 of that year.
Surratt is expected to play his second season with the Seahawks in 2026.
