The official time and channel for the Texas A&M basketball team’s March Madness first-round matchup against Saint Mary’s University have been announced.
At Selection Sunday, the Aggies found out their destiny as the No. 10 seed in this year’s NCAA Tournament. Texas A&M will face No. 7 St. Mary’s for the sixth time in program history. The two teams last met in 2010, when the Maroon and White won 70-53 at Reed Arena in Bryan-College Station.

This time, the Aggies and Gaels will face off in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for the chance to advance to the top 32. Shortly after the results were announced in the bracket opener, the start time for Texas A&M vs. Saint Mary’s University was also announced. According to an official release, the game is scheduled to begin at 6:35 PM Central Time and will be broadcast live on TruTV.
Historically, the Aggies are 3-2 against Saint Mary’s, but the Gaels will bring one of the most impressive and explosive basketball teams in the nation to Oklahoma City on Thursday, March 19. One of the Gaels’ huge advantages over Texas A&M is their length and size, which helps them rank 14th in total rebounds, 15th in offensive rebound rate, and 4th in offensive rebound rate allowed. They can break glass and beat any team in a basketball game.
As TexAgs reporter Luke Evanglist said, Thursday’s game was the perfect embodiment of the tortoise and the hare playing basketball. On one end of the floor is the 11th-most explosive offense in college basketball competing against a top-10 defense.

If Texas A&M defeats Saint Mary’s in the first round of the NCAA tournament, the Aggies will face the winner of No. 2 seed Houston or No. 15 seed Idaho.
