From a fitness perspective, Luciano Spalletti’s Juventus side are in good shape and have avoided new injury problems in recent games. The Bianconeri will only be missing Daniele Rugani, who is out with a calf problem, and Dusan Vlahovic, who is still recovering from a thigh injury. No Juventus players have been suspended, although Andrea Cambiasso and Juan Cabal will need to proceed with caution as another yellow card will rule them out of next week’s trip to Monaco.

With Vlahovic unavailable, Juventus will once again look to Jonathan David to lead the defense with support from Weston McKennie and Kenan Yıldız. The latter has assisted in two consecutive Champions League games and has already handed out four assists in the competition, which highlights his growing influence in Europe.

Benfica travel to Italy with a handful of missing players but the core of the squad intact. Dodi Lukebakio remains out with an ankle injury, as are Alexander Ba and Richard Rios. Nicolas Otamendi is expected to start despite being one yellow card away from suspension.

Vangelis Pavlidis will be the spearhead of Portugal’s attack. The Greek striker has impressed domestically but will be keen to translate that form to the European stage after a relatively quiet Champions League campaign so far.
