Further details of his departure were not immediately known.
Baker Mazzara transferred to USC this season. The former Auburn star is averaging 18.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game with the Trojans this season, all of which are career highs. He was USC’s leading scorer and was named the Maui Invitational MVP after leading the Trojans to a major tournament win in Hawaii in November.
Baker-Mazara played just 19 minutes in an 82-67 loss to No. 12 Nebraska on Saturday. He went down early in the second half with an apparent leg injury and did not return.
USC has two games left in the regular season, first against Washington and then against UCLA on Saturday. The Trojans have lost five straight and are 18-11 on the year, and have a lot of work to do if they want to make the NCAA Tournament.

While a strong performance this week and a run in the Big Ten could go a long way there, the Trojans must now find a way to do it without Baker-Mazzara.
