On November 2, Brazilian internet celebrity Barbara Jankavski was found dead at the home of 51-year-old public defender Renato Campos Pinto de Vitto. The cause of death has been determined.
After a forensic analysis by the Technical and Scientific Police and an investigation by the São Paulo Civil Police, authorities ruled that Jankavski died from accidental use of cocaine, local media outlet G1 reported. However, the São Paulo prosecutor’s office and Jankawski’s family have taken the case to jury court, claiming Jankawski may have been murdered.
According to a police report obtained by CNN Brasil, DeVito testified to authorities that he hired her to provide “sexual services” and was with her on the night of Jancavsky’s death and that the two used illegal drugs together.
DeVito told authorities that Yankowski fell asleep and became motionless and that he immediately called Mobile Urgent Care Services and attempted to resuscitate her for nine minutes before doctors arrived on scene and confirmed she was dead.

São Paulo state gendarmes found Jankavski’s body wearing only his underwear, with a bruised left eye and bruises on his back, CNN reported, adding that a friend of Jankavski’s facial injuries was attributed to a previous slip while speaking to police. After her death, police ruled her death suspicious.

Jankavski appears to have last updated her social media accounts on October 1, sharing a video with fellow influencer Avós Da Razão on Instagram.
