Aubameyang
Just days after announcing the suspension of the national team and Aubameyang, Gabon reversed its decision.
After Gabon was eliminated from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in the group stages, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as well as the national team itself, were suspended by the country’s government. That sanction, which also included captain Bruno Ekuele Manga, was officially lifted on Monday evening.

“The Gabonese Football Federation (FEGAFOOT) informs the national and international sporting community that the government’s suspension of the national team and the exclusion of players Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bruno Equile Manga due to the national team’s disappointing results at the African Cup of Nations has been lifted as of Monday 12 January 2026.
