Côte d’Ivoire, which has won the title in 1992, 2015 and 2023, dreams of defending the title it won last year on home soil – a feat only three countries have achieved before: Egypt (three times), Ghana (once) and Cameroon (once).
Diallo, who was born in Abidjan, has scored five goals in 15 games. The 23-year-old Manchester United man is fully embracing his role as leader of a team that blends experience with youth.
