Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is ready to get back on the court. Clark told reporters on the first day of USA Basketball’s national team training camp that she feels completely healthy.
“I’m 100 percent good,” Clark said. “Obviously, I need to knock off a little bit of the rust and get my lungs back, but my body feels really good. I feel like I’m in a really good place and my main goal is to keep it that way.”

Clark, 23, played in just 13 games last season due to multiple injuries to his right groin, left quadriceps and left groin.
The 2024 No. 1 overall pick has been pretty healthy since college at Iowa. She never missed a game at Iowa or her rookie season. Injuries last season also reduced Clark’s offensive performance.
Last season, Clark averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game, shooting 36.7% from the field and 27.9% from three-point range. In Clark’s absence, Kelsey Mitchell and Aaliyah Boston helped the Fever to a 24-20 record and their first winning season since 2015. The Fever advanced to the semifinals before losing to the Los Angeles Aces.

In his rookie season, Clark averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game, shooting 41.7% from the field and 34.4% from three-point range. Clark helped the team reach the first round of the 2024 playoffs, but lost to the Connecticut Sun.
Clark will join Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky, Paige Bueckers of the Dallas Wings and JuJu Watkins of USC in making their national team debuts. Watkins will not participate in training camp as she is still recovering from a torn ACL.
Clark, Bueckers and Watkins won gold medals with the U.S. men’s basketball team in youth competitions. Reese was a member of Team USA competing in the FIBA Women’s America’s Cup. Boston is also in training camp.
